Gravestone Cleaning Volunteer Opportunity
Join us at the Old Post Cemetery to honor veterans by caring for the stones that mark their service and stories. 🪦
With guidance from Cemetery Revival, you’ll learn hands-on gravestone cleaning and basic restoration while hearing about the history held in this ground. All tools and materials are provided; no experience needed—just a willingness to help preserve this place of memory and respect.

On May 16th, join our Gravestone Cleaning Hands-On Training class at the Highland (Douglass) Cemetery in Altona. This course is designed for those who want to learn the proper techniques for cleaning and preserving gravestones. Spaces will be limited for this valuable training opportunity.

On June 5th, join our Gravestone Repair Class-at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Wilmington. This course is sponsored by the Wilmington Historical Society. Dave and Jen Carr from Gravestone Guardians Inc. Spaces will be limited for this valuable training opportunity.
Get involved with cemetery revival
Whether you're looking to volunteer, learn a new skill, or simply support our cause, there are many ways to engage with Cemetery Revival. Classes require sign-up, while our general meetings and cemetery workdays are open to those who show up. You can also reach us via our website cemetery-revival.org, Facebook messenger, email at cemeteryrevival9@gmail.com, or by calling 518-570-3526. Monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, and we're typically cleaning and restoring gravestones in a local cemetery at least twice a week, weather permitting.
